Jennifer Jordan - Principal
I am honored to be Memorial Drive Elementary's principal, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this extremely positive and supportive community.
I am beginning my 27th year as an educator, and I have spent all of those years in Spring Branch. After growing up in Colorado, I moved to Houston to attend Rice University where I earned my B.A. in history and English. Certified in social studies, English language arts, and gifted and talented education, I spent 16 years teaching these subjects. During this time I earned my M.Ed. from the University of Houston.
Most recently I earned an additional certification through Rice University’s REEP (Rice Education Entrepreneurship Program). My first administrative role was Assistant Principal for Instruction and Assessment at Memorial High School. After three years in that role, I accepted a position as Associate Principal at Stratford, which I held for five years, until joining the MDE family in 2013.
Memorial Drive Elementary ensures that every child is nurtured and challenged in a positive and fair environment. We are striving to make sure that all children achieve more than they think is possible as they develop the academic skills, habits of mind, self-confidence and curiosity that will lead to success throughout their careers in Spring Branch and beyond. Parents, teachers, support staff, and administrators are all important partners in leading our students to success.
Everyone at MDE is looking forward to a wonderful and exciting school year!
